Our Achievements

THE COLLECT-A-CAN REACH

  • Southern Africa's recovery rate has remained high, and confirms us as one of the leading countries in metal can recovery.
  • Annually, an estimated 100 000 collectors are creating an income or substituting a low income at any given time, to safeguard the livelihoods of thousands of southern Africans.
  • Collect-a-Can has gone from near invisibility to being known and respected amongst all influential members of society, spreading the recover-and-recycle message.
  • Collect-a-Can are creating a culture of recycling with millions of school children having been introduced to the idea of caring for the environment. Collect-a-Can’s schools collection projects attracts schools nationwide. These schools earn cash and supplement their adhoc needs, while getting their learners excited about recycling.

Our communities, the environment and our precious natural resources have been benefiting.
